One Team, Every Discipline

Every building has different needs, shaped by how people live, work, learn and interact within it. We tailor our engineering approach across residential, commercial, mixed-use and educational environments, combining practical design, efficient technologies and sustainable solutions to suit each space and its purpose.

RESIDENTIAL USE

We design comfortable, energy-efficient homes around the way people live. Our residential solutions incorporate technologies such as air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, MVHR, low-temperature heating systems, smart controls, solar PV and EV charging, creating homes that are comfortable, practical and ready for a low-carbon future.

COMMERCIAL USE

We create flexible, high-performing building services that respond to changing workplace and commercial demands. Our designs integrate VRF/VRV systems, heat pumps, demand-controlled ventilation, heat recovery, LED lighting with intelligent controls, BMS, smart metering and renewable technologies to optimise comfort, energy use and operational performance.

What We Do

We Make Every System Work AS ONE

MIXED USE

Mixed-use developments demand systems that work efficiently across very different spaces and operating patterns. We bring together technologies including centralised or decentralised heat-pump systems, heat networks, heat recovery, smart metering, BMS, solar PV, EV infrastructure and intelligent controls, creating coordinated solutions that respond to residential, commercial and communal requirements.

EDUCATIONAL USE

We design healthy, comfortable learning environments with particular focus on indoor air quality, energy performance and ease of operation. Technologies such as heat pumps, natural and hybrid ventilation, demand-controlled ventilation with CO₂ monitoring, heat recovery, LED daylight controls, BMS and solar PV help create efficient spaces that support both learning and long-term sustainability.

From Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health engineering to BIM and Building Performance, our multidisciplinary approach brings every aspect of building services together. We combine engineering expertise, digital coordination and sustainable thinking to develop practical, efficient and well-integrated solutions from concept through detailed design and delivery.

MECHANICAL SERVICES

We provide building mechanical engineering design support across the project lifecycle, from early concept through detailed design and construction. From establishing design criteria and developing system strategies at RIBA Stages 2–3, through detailed calculations, equipment selection, coordinated layouts and specifications at RIBA Stages 4–5, we develop practical solutions tailored to each building and its operational needs. Our capabilities cover heating and cooling systems, ventilation, heat pumps, heat recovery, low-temperature heating, underfloor heating, chilled and heating water systems, domestic water services, plantroom design, controls and BMS integration. Using coordinated BIM workflows and building-performance analysis, we focus on comfort, energy efficiency, low-carbon design, maintainability and effective integration with architecture and other building services, helping projects move smoothly from concept to construction.

ELECTRIAL SERVICES

We provide electrical building services design support from initial concept through detailed design and construction, aligned with the requirements of each project and relevant standards. From developing electrical strategies, load assessments and infrastructure requirements at RIBA Stages 2–3, through detailed calculations, equipment selection, coordinated layouts and specifications at RIBA Stages 4–5, we develop safe, efficient and resilient electrical solutions. Our capabilities include LV distribution, lighting and emergency lighting, small power, containment, earthing and lightning protection, fire alarm systems, security and access control, data infrastructure, standby power, solar PV and EV charging. Through coordinated digital workflows, we focus on energy efficiency, reliability, maintainability and seamless integration with the wider building design.

PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES

Our Public Health engineering services focus on creating safe, efficient and well-coordinated water and drainage systems throughout the building lifecycle. From establishing servicing strategies and utility requirements during RIBA Stages 2–3, through detailed calculations, sizing, layouts and coordinated design at RIBA Stages 4–5, we develop solutions appropriate to the building's use and occupancy. Our capabilities include domestic hot and cold water systems, boosted water, sanitary plumbing, above-ground drainage, rainwater drainage, water storage, hot-water generation, rainwater harvesting and water-efficiency strategies. Particular attention is given to water conservation, hygiene, system performance, accessibility for maintenance and coordination with architectural, structural and other MEP services.

BIM & DIGITAL ENGINEERING

BIM is more than a modelling tool — it is an integral part of how we design, coordinate and communicate building services. We support projects from early-stage spatial coordination through detailed multidisciplinary models and construction information, working across the relevant RIBA stages and project-specific BIM requirements. Our capabilities include MEP modelling, multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, coordinated drawings, builders' work information, plantroom and riser coordination, schedules and model-based design reviews, using platforms such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks. By connecting engineering knowledge with digital workflows, we help identify issues earlier, improve coordination and deliver clearer, more buildable and information-rich designs.

SUSTAINABILITY & BUILDING PEROFRMANCE

Sustainability is embedded into our engineering approach from the earliest design decisions. We support projects with building-performance analysis and low-carbon engineering strategies, helping design teams understand how building fabric, occupancy, environmental conditions and MEP systems influence overall performance. Our capabilities include dynamic thermal modelling, heating and cooling load analysis, energy modelling, daylight and comfort assessments, natural ventilation studies, overheating analysis and low-carbon technology evaluation, supported by tools such as IES VE. From early optioneering through detailed design, we assess technologies including heat pumps, heat recovery, solar PV, demand-controlled ventilation and energy-efficient controls, helping projects reduce energy demand, operational carbon and long-term environmental impact.
